A heat pump is an energy-efficient system that heats and cools your home by moving heat rather than generating it. Even in Grand County's cold winters, modern cold-climate heat pumps can efficiently extract heat from the outdoor air and bring it inside. In the summer, they work in reverse to remove heat from your home, providing efficient air conditioning and year-round comfort.

The Grand Lake Mountain Energy Project offers rebates to help lower the cost of energy-efficient home upgrades, including heat pumps, insulation, air sealing, and other qualifying improvements. Available incentives vary based on your utility provider and the type of project.
Whether you're just getting started or ready to upgrade, Sustainable Grand can help you understand your options, identify available rebates, and connect you with participating contractors.
Grand Lake residents can receive a complimentary home energy assessment valued at $550. Assessments can help:
Determine if your heating system is a good candidate for replacement
Provide heat pump sizing recommendations
Identify additional rebate opportunities
Please note: an assessment is recommended but not required to receive the rebates.
