Matt is an Energy Analyst with Sustainable Grand whose work is shaped by losing his home in the 2020 East Troublesome Fire. In rebuilding, he focused on resilience and efficiency, incorporating wildfire mitigation, rooftop solar with battery storage, and a cold-climate heat pump. That experience reinforced his belief that energy should be owned, not rented—a philosophy he brings to helping others improve efficiency, resilience, and long-term energy independence.
Outside of work, he enjoys skiing with his wife and daughter and playing pickleball, where he’s known as “Solar Matt” and “Pickleball Matt.”
